Strive to progress your career and train your replacement! ![]() Participate in the training of apprentices and journeymen to develop strong fitters and future superintendents. Obey all safe, reasonable and legitimate leadership directives. Understand, follow and enforce all customer and The Sack Company’s security/safety policies and procedures. Dispose of all trash properly and be aware of your surroundings to avoid property damage. Immediately inform your project manager or other leaders of any delays or work stoppages. Complete work at or below budgeted labor hours. Maintain accountability and respect tools provided by The Sack Company. Personal cell phones will not be used during the workday except for designated break periods. Enforce contractual starting and quitting times, including lunch and break periods. Meet responsibilities to the customer, fellow workers and The Sack Company by arriving on the job on time, ready to work, every day. ![]() Travel as required to job sites as directed by your Project Manager / other leaders. Use sure off testers and all other means to verify systems are out of service and drained before work. Install, repair and maintain all types of fire sprinkler systems, which includes measuring, cutting, grooving, and threading of materials. Submit all job- related paperwork in a timely manner. Maintain and submit time records in a timely and complete manner. Proactively work with the Project Manager to ensure materials are ordered to minimize delivery delays and keep your jobs on schedule. Inventory and maintain organization of materials on the job site. SPRINKLER FITTER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Optimizes Work Processes: Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. Construction: Knowledge of general construction workflow and how it affects our work. Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Ensures Accountability: Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. ![]() The Sprinkler Fitter is also primarily responsible for ensuring job completion while completing on-the-job coaching and development of Journeymen and Apprentices. The Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for supervising and providing reliable, high quality customer support through on-site installing, repairing and/or replacing fire sprinkler equipment as well as conducting preventive maintenance services pertaining to many different manufacturers’ equipment. Sprinkler Fitter must have at least 5 years experience, preferred is 8 years. ![]()
